Narcissus

Nar­cis­sus — Nar­cis­sus was a char­ac­ter in Greek mythol­ogy who fell in love with his own reflec­tion. One day he spot­ted his reflec­tion in a pool of water and was so enam­oured that he tried to embrace it, and ended up drown­ing. In this mod­ern depic­tion, I have taken artis­tic license and made Nar­cis­sus a girl. This pho­to­graph was taken at Dar­win falls in Raw­don Que­bec. The pho­to­graph was printed and then selec­tively hand-painted.
