Portraits and Self Portraits

Here are a col­lec­tion of por­traits; many of them were taken and cre­ated merely for the love of por­trai­ture and pho­tog­ra­phy, though some of them were com­mis­sioned. Some of these pho­tographs are actu­ally scenes based on Mythol­ogy or His­tory and a few of them were shot on film and cre­ated using alter­na­tive shoot­ing and print­ing tech­niques. Some of these tech­niques include the use of infra-red film and the dif­fus­ing of the image dur­ing the print­ing process. In addi­tion, many of the images are hand painted. This means that after I printed the images, I applied paint directly onto the print to pro­duce a one of a kind image. I have also included a selec­tion of por­traits and self-portraits.
